I’ve recently started re-reading books. The book I’m re-reading right now is Hooked By Nir Eyal. It is refreshing and sort of gives a flashback-y vibes when you go through what you’ve read, earlier.
Here’s why I found it beneficial:
You get a chance to touch upon the points that you may have missed when you read it for the first time. I’m surprised by the clarity you get when you go through what may have not seemed as important earlier, to when you read it now.
Forming New Perspectives : The first time you read a book, you discover new stuff and tend to derive conclusions based on your limited knowledge around it(if any).
Fast-forward few months, you pick up, re-read the same book and you form newer perspectives. The dual-perspective so formed helps introspect and compare from what you had earlier gained from the same. It definitely feels good to know that your perspective has widened.
It only takes a little bit of initial push to get started but once you’re in the flow you’ll enjoy re-reading and would appreciate it more, ngl.
bye
*books* that I’m referring to here are non-fiction. I don’t read fiction.
